The company's successes are rooted in the unique relationship and backgrounds the co-founders share. David Phife, whose background is in finance and marketing, teamed with Gretchen Ponts, a political historian, to create an effective, passionate research firm. These two created the firm to operate on one fundamental principle: Market research touches on all aspects of the social, political, and economic philosophies and therefore all theories and educations should be included at the table. Their primary focus was to build a team that hailed from a multitude of backgrounds in order to continually push the envelope of market research.
